The Magic Bubble

Lynne,

My gentle Lamb,

Beckoned me into her magic bubble,

And as I went in, we began to float,

and rise.

We rose higher and higher, until we reached a

certain height. Then suddenly, we saw

Unbelievable sights:

I saw lions with eyes as big as dishes,

Giraffes with necks as high as the sky.

There were large butterflies that teased our senses

as they fluttered in and out of trees, like

naughty and frisky kittens.

The trees themselves swayed to and fro, as if singing anther

to the Most High;

And in the distance, I saw white porpoises capering in

the golden sea.

The sun was very bright but mild, bathing the world with

multi-colored lights that caught our emotions in a grip.

As I watched these sights in wonder, I forgot about Lynne and

the Bubble.

And when I looked back, they were no longer there.

I began to fall.

Down, down I fell.

And as I fell, the vistas I saw began to fade, and in their

places reappeared the ordinary sights of mountains, lakes

and trees.

Soon I landed on a grassy knoll.

Here I espied people hurrying about,

some carrying brief-cases, some counters, and some picks and

shovels. They were coming in and out of rock caves.

I called to one who had a counter in his hands and asked,

“What place is this, and where is Lynne?”

He replied, "This place is Terra. If by Lynne you mean

Your Magic Lamb, she is a mythical being. She does

not live in this country."

Then I knew that the Bubble, the vistas that I saw. Lynne

herself,

were all a dream.

And I wept....

The man with the counter touched me on my shoulder and told me,

"If you really want to find Lynne, you must

Concentrate hard,

Put yourself into a deep sleep--

Then enter her enchanted land."

“But if you do that," he said, "you will never walk again

on Terra."
